As a children's librarian for the last 10 years and a public librarian since 2019 I have created quite a few reading recommendation lists. Here are just a few:

Allison Recommends: Mostly Fantasy and Sci Fi Recommendations

Great Beginner Chapter books for 1st and 2nd graders

AANHPI Recommendation lists for picture books, middle grade chapter books and YA.

Currently, I have been working on revamping Seminole County Public Library's recommendations for Middle Grade Sports Fiction, Middle Grade Historical Fiction, Middle Grade Fantasay, Middle Grade Horror, and YA Horror lists.

While working for the Seminole County Public Libraries since 2019, I have developed numerous exciting programs for my community's families, such as an International Jazz Day Celebration.

In 2024 we celebrated Yayoi Kusama's 95th birthday with stories and crafts.

Every month I lead a children's art program where we feature one or two artists a month, and have a story time and craft based on artists and illustrators such as Louise Nevelson, Ellsworth Kelley, Marie Cassat, Eric Carle, Romare Bearden, Andy Warhol, Janet Sobel, Jackson Pollock, Josef Albers, Hilma Af Klint, Faith Ringgold, Jose Posada, and others. Fostering a love of creativity and expression is something I love so much, and I know my patrons appreciate our programming.

Throughout the year, I also lead a few sewing programs for Teens- this last December we cut out patterns and fleece to make easy plushies, and every summer I lead a cosplay-related sewing program.

Over the last few years as a Children's Librarian at St. Gabriel's Catholic school, I have built numerous pathfinders, instructional guides, and comprehensive subject lists for the teacher and student populations. Here are a few of the things that I have been able to share:

As I've been working at the Weigle Information Commons at the University of Pennsylvania, I've had the opportunity to teach workshops, manage the social media and publicity for the WIC workshops in general, and interact with students and faculty from across UPenns campus.

Here is a screen-shot of some of the publicity for a few WIC workshops. Coincidentally, I am teaching all three of these workshops.

Here is a blog post that I wrote for two of my workshops relating to content management platforms and free-website creation.

Here is a breif chat session transcript that I had with a UPenn student. Name has been elimiated in order to ensure confidentialy.
